Question from a Heckerped User
December 24th, 2008 . by adminGm Roper Writes: Howdy… started using the heckerped wordpress theme and can’t tell you how much I love it. I’ve done my own photoshopped headers (all of them) and have received multiple e-mails from my friends telling me how “neat” it is.
I have one question though. I’d like to place some links (Technorati for one example) on the sidebar without having to use one of the Textwidgets. I’ve tried several places that I thought would work in both the sidebar editor and the CSS editor, none of which worked because either I’m not doing it right or not putting the info in the right place. Can you tell me how/where to put those links?
GM, Hey Now.
They would go in the sidebar. I would look for a the line that looks like this:
/* Widgetized sidebar, if you have the plugin installed. */
and above that you’ll see a UL ( un-ordered list ) start. Paste your supplied code on a line above that UL and it shouldn’t get any of the list formatting that a widget is going to give you.
If you can’t save that widget.php file from inside WP then it is a permissions problem, contact your hosting provider.
Cheers,
JTk
